Moving along...

We have moved within the last three weeks to a new apartment in Greensboro. We are still trying to set up everything and get organized. Please pray for our transition and continued prayer for our pursuit of overseas missions. We continue to edge closer as we work to pay of our school debt. We will be updating our blog and website regularly now that things aren't so crazy with school.

Summer Update!

We have some great praises to share with you! Michael has finished school and pass his exam! He is now a license Aircraft mechanic! Katy has been working hard at World Relief; starting in October she will be doing more artwork, which we hope to sell and start paying off our school debt. Michael has been enjoying working at Atlantic Aero and has been getting some really valuable experience on Reciprocating aircraft and Turbo-props.

There is a lot going on this month and we would appreciate your prayers. This week we will be starting to pack up to move into a new apartment(at the end of the month). We signed a lease on a nice two bedroom apartment a few miles down the road from where we are now. Yay! We are excited to be moving into a larger space. On the 11th we will be traveling to Phoenix for two weeks for the training that Michael won through the scholarship program. We will be there through the 22nd. Please pray for our travel.

We have had great opportunities here in Greensboro and are ready to start serving together in different ministries. Katy has been working with the high school group at Westover Church (the church that we attend) for about 3 months now and Michael will soon have the same opportunity to serve with the high school ministry. The weekend after we return we will be going to The Cove in Asheville for our high school group's fall retreat. We are excited to connect with more students and build strong relationships with them. Please keep this retreat with the students in your prayers.

We are both attending a class called Marriage Foundations at Westover. It has been fun getting to know couples and build relationships in the class. We have also grow closer together and learned more about how marriage works and how we work together to encourage each other. We “graduate” from this class in November and move on to a new marriage class. The Lord has blessed us with great friendships that will last a lifetime and we are excited to see what other ministries and opportunities God has planned for us.

After all this traveling we will be moving into our new home on the 26th. We have to be out of our current apartment by the first of October. Please pray for a smooth moving transition. It will be a bit crazy this month, but we are excited about it all. Now that Michael is finished with class and has his license, the last thing that is left is our school debt. We know that the Lord has the money, and this isn't what is keeping us from our goal. It is the Lord that has bigger and better plans to keep us here a little longer. The Lord has already taken care of the debt.

We are still focused and ready to do the ministry. We are excited to see what He is going to do with us in Greensboro and how He is going to use us! We will try to keep you better updated on how we are doing and what the Lord is teaching us. Thank you for all of your prayers and support.

The last semester approaches.

So a few weeks ago we looked on our blog and wondered who made a summer school post, we quickly realized it was from a year ago. Who knew it would be so hard to update a blog. We will try harder to keep everyone informed of how are quest for mission aviation is going. Katy has been working for World Relief since last June or so, and I started a new job at Atlantic Aero in Greensboro at the beginning of this year. I am working full time as a aircraft mechanic gaining valuable experience and I am even flying quite a bit for the company. God has been doing some amazing things in our lives, and we feel it is just scratching the surface of what he can do as we try to wholeheartedly follow after Him. Summer school starts in about two weeks and school is over at the end of July. I have one final test in August and I will be done with my A&P(Aircraft Mechanic License). We are following Dave Ramsey Total Money Makeover and we have started to pay off debt. It seems slow going, but we can see it working. We ask for prayer for job direction after school is over. I love my job here in Greensboro and Katy has a good position as well, but we don't know yet if I should try to make more money elsewhere to pay debt off quicker, or if I need to gain more flying experience. We will continue to pursue God together and hopefully he will reveal His will for our lives. More to come soon.
